Kate Yahn
Powerhouse vocals, striking stage presence, and heartbreaking melody’s are what make Kate Yahn a triple threat in Vancouver’s rock/pop scene.
Having released a handful of singles, teasing listeners with her original music during appearances at Treefort Music Fest (Boise, Idaho), Rifflandia (Victoria, BC), NXNE (Toronto, ON), and while you may have yet to meet her, her 70s-esque sound and soaring belts comfort us like the classics of Stevie Nicks and Carole King.
Reinventing the familiar, inspired by a decade known for expression and musical freedom, Yahn is embarking on a new journey influenced by the modern day, announcing her debut EP, to be released Fall 2024.
With the backdrop of her mid-twenties in tow, Yahn’s latest record is rooted in empowered vulnerability where the edge of rock and roll is met with the innocence of experiencing life’s many firsts. Navigating love, wild heartbreak, and identity, Yahn grapples with her coming of age, fighting to stay curious in a time where love needs revival.
