This planet we call home is extremely precious, and Clara Shandler's music reflects that. Her compositions weave the heart-touching warmth of the cello, the resonance of the human voice, and a mosaic of stylistic influences to bring her audiences songs of reverence for the ocean, the forest, and this magical Earth we all call home. As the Sidewalk Cellist, Clara has spent the last two decades teaching in Canada and Cambodia, has performed hundreds of concerts on three continents, has recorded five albums of original compositions, has had her music featured in short films, dance performances, performed by orchestras and ensembles in both hemispheres. When she isn't making music you can find her in the garden, working on some DIY project to reduce waste, or cozied up with a good book.
